History & Activity Reported: This building dates back to the 1840's when it operated as a blacksmith shop. There are unconfirmed stories that prostitutes may have been strangled to death upstairs, and a confirmed report of a man and his dog dying in a fire in the building around the turn of the 20th Century. The building was converted into a firehouse in the early 20th Century and remains such to this day. The fireman have reported seeing apparitions of dark figures and even former fire chiefs. One fireman woke up to find himself being choked. Another woke up to see a figure run past him, so he chased it downstairs where it vanished. Footsteps are frequently heard when the building is empty, and objects have been known to move.

Investigation Summation: It was a great honor for NJPR to be called in to investigate this old firehouse. During our investigation the team experienced a high amount of activity surrounding our flashlights turning on by themselves. More than one flashlight was effected by this activity. The firehouse itself exhibits high amounts of EMF due to the radio equipment necessary for them to do perform their duties. NJPR also experimented with a new piece of equipment called a "Frank's Box", which scans radio frequencies and produces human speech. While this is a highly controversial piece of equipment, NJPR is willing to test new theories and equipment to further our research into Paranormal. Although we are still testing this equipment, several times throughout the investigation the team received responses to direct questions.

Note: Most researchers do not consider orb photos evidence of paranormal activity as airborne particles such as dust, pollen and moisture can cause "false positives". While we agree that most "orbs" can be explained naturally, we have found in our research that a small percentage seem to correlate to paranormal activity. Therefore, we will post orb photos that we feel may represent paranormal activity, although we can not prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the case.

While experiencing activity in the basement with his flashlight turning on by itself, Mark's name is clearly heard coming over the Frank's Box.	As Mark and Darren enter the sleeping quarters a strange disembodied voice can be heard speaking. At this exact moment Mark and Darren felt a cold breeze blow sharply in their faces. They could not find an explanation for this draft.

Sigh	*Whistle*
A sigh or cough is captures upstairs when no one else was around.	A disembodied whistling was recorded in the basement. There was no machinery nearby that would make this noise, nor was it any of our investigators.

A large orb briefly flashes above Jane lying on the bed. No cameras were fired at this time.	As Jane talks to Mark on the radio, an orb appears in the window. This is followed by a high-pitched female laugh that was not Jane or Karrie


As Jane is recording her experiences into the camera, what sounds like a dog crying can be heard in the background. There were no dogs present or around the building. There is a story of a man and his dog dying in a fire in the building over 100 years ago.	As Jane exits the locker room an orb streaks down and vanishes into one of the lockers.


Unexplained bangs in the empty locker room.	As Karrie and Jane attempt to elicit a response in the basement, Karrie's flashlight turns on by itself.


While upstairs Mark asks if any spirits present can turn on his flashlight. A few moments later his flashlight turns on by itself. (Note: the "cut" in the clip was to remove a ten second pause to shorten the clip for posting on our website.)	When Mark asks for the spirit to turn off his flashlight, it immediately turns off. At the same time Mike heard a "Yes" come over his Frank's Box as in in response to Mark's request.


Mike's flashlight also turned on by itself.	As Mike monitors his Frank's Box, he asks why the spirit is still here. He receives a response saying "died here". When Mark asks if the man died with his dog, he received an affirmative response.


Solid orb moves past Jane and vanishes into the floor.	Mark's flashlight comes on again. As it shuts off an orb flies over it.
